When I was a little girl, my inner compass aligned with just three things. I wanted to dance; joy and sound and movement incarnate. I wanted to be a Nun. And I wanted to be a Neurosurgeon.
My bottom line: consciousness. In a body. At four, burningly hungry to know 'how the bit that's who I really am get's to be here'. At four, figuring that must be in The Brain.
The brain. A neural net. Neurons. A single neuron can do little alone, you know. It needs its 'Others'. The other neurons that surround it. Just look at a neuron: it is made for connection!! Connection sparked by your experience. Always. And, I would add, connection born both of your choices and birthed as a conscious act of creation. Your Neural net. Your potent, creative, choiceful community. Part of the fabric of your consciousness. Part of how you 'get to be here'. With your Others.
And, like a strange tumbling cacophonous calligraphy, the brain flows down into the spinal cord. Through the architecture of vertebral housing. Long sensitive threads of spinal nerves emerge; listening, sensate. Aware.
So here it is. Here we are. Hyperlinked with our Others. Via Facebook chatter, 'sharings'. Whisperings through the blogosphere and e-mail networks whooshing. We have never been more linked to one another. Most of the plethora of learnings (don't get me started!) and community I have participated in these past two years have been through these whisper-whoosh-shush-ushing-sharings. It's been quite the journey! My neural net has anastomosed and grown!
The LAB run of EASS-y has just 10 days remaining for Registration. Embodied Anatomy. Your Spine. Yoga. Like a neural net evolving, a community is forming! Join us!!
And, do please share this information, with your Others ;)
